Matanzas Inlet is a winning son of Kitalpha. Kitalpha is a full brother to Sire and Sire of Sires Kingmambo (11 millionaires / $300,000 stud fee) by Mr. Prospector (16 Champions) and out of the two-time Eclipse Champion mare, Miesque (CH in US, FR, ENG). He was leading sire twice (Zim) and sire to Champion 2 y/o Stella Bella (Zim), Champion 3 y/o Killaridge (Zim), Champion 3 y/o Frogwatch (Zim) and two-time HOY Rebecca’s Fleet (Zim). In the US, he sired millionaire Kharafa, Grade 1 placed Martini Glass (noted for nearly upsetting Song Bird), Grade 3 Unbelievable Dream, BT stakes winners One Liz, Christian C, and Black Tie Affair. Matanzas Inlet’s Dam was She’s Stacked by the Nijinsky II stallion Stack who was ½ to Forty Niner. She’s Stacked earned $125,464 during her career. Her last win was a remarkable 1 1/16 mile by 17 ½ lengths. She is ½ to Trigonia $250,091 E104. Their dam, Sajonia was ½ to Stay Forever (by Stack) who earned $910,399 (WinStar Galaxy S) and qualified for the BC; Forever Whirl $453,658 (Ohio Derby), Sierra Virgin G3 Ascot $194,655, Sierra Lady $105,063.

Matanzas’ last 1 mile turf win (GP) was faster than three one mile turf graded stakes that season at GP: The Tropical Turf by Hogy $1,339,782, The Canadian Turf by Shakhimat $516,711, and the Dania Beach by Speed Franco $206,290. On the track he has bested colts by Medaglia D’Oro, Bernardini, and Colonel John.
